 We still strongly recommend that all guests take out comprehensive personal travel insurance and that they thoroughly check the schedule for both benefits and exclusions. We also advise that the insurance covers the time prior to travel to ensure that no unforeseen circumstances complicate a cancellation process. The conditions below apply to both new and existing bookings made at Setari Camp.

Booking and Reservation Policy

  • All provisional bookings will be held for 14 days unless discussed.

  • Provisional bookings will be held, if agreed, between agent and reservation team or will be automatically released from the system.

  • A confirmation or release will be requested if the room is in demand by another booking.

  • All confirmations to be made within 30 days prior to arrival and made in writing.

  • Deposit of 20% required for confirmation of a group booking.

  • A ‘group’ is a booking of 7 or more guests.

Payment Policy

  • FIT Bookings – Full payment 30 days prior to arrival.

  • 20% deposit for any group bookings on confirmation and final payment 30 days prior to arrival.

  • All bank transfers are to be received free from any bank charges.

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations to be made in writing.

  • 61 days and more from travel – 20% cancellation charge.

  • 60 days or less from date of travel – 50% cancellation charge.

  • 30 days or less from date of travel – 100% cancellation charge.

Covid-19

Should a guest be forced to cancel due to a verifiable Coronavirus cause then no cancellation charges will be made. Guests will be encouraged to postpone their booking and our reservation team will assist with rebooking your stay for a later date. Costs will be held unless the new booking moves to a different safari season. A new travel date will be accepted within 18 months of the original travel date. Monies already paid to Setari will be transferred to the new booking.

Please see summary below of valid causes:

  • Either guest country, destination or transit country institute a travel ban during the time of travel

  • Either guest country or destination country impose a mandatory quarantine and guests are unable to travel

  • Guest travel cancelled due to verified travel restrictions – flight cancellation due to corona or flight refusal due to a Corona screening

  • Should Setari Camp be subject to governmental trade restrictions due to Covid-19, no cancellation charges will be made

  • Setari Camp reserves the right to amend their Terms & Conditions as the travel industry responds to the present Covid Pandemic and complications remain surrounding travel logistics
